Meet the Team
Our executive director, Catherine Ratelle, has more than 25 years of experience in the senior living industry. She has a passion for bringing joy to residents by providing quality care, fostering independence and offering outstanding customer service. In her most recent position with Integral Senior Living, Catherine was able to serve senior residents by opening new communities and improving already established ones. She aims to continue providing enjoyable experiences for residents at Coastal Heights Senior Living and is excited to lead a service-oriented community with a variety of choices for each resident to thrive.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Susan Parker has over 15 years of experience working with seniors. She has consulted, educated and placed seniors in both employment and residential community life. Her commitment to caring for the senior population is reflected in her enthusiasm and joy.
Business Office Director
Jacqueline Vincent, the Business Office director at Coastal Heights, has a passion for working with seniors that began when she was young. Jacqueline’s two older sisters worked in a senior care community, and she and her mother would visit the community and do activities with the residents. While attending California State University–Fullerton, where she received her B.A. degree, Jacqueline volunteered at a skilled nursing facility. Since then, she has worked in the industry for over 20 years and has experience working with seniors in skilled nursing, memory care, assisted living and independent living.
Culinary Food Service Director
Huver Ponce joined the Coastal Heights team as the Culinary Food Service director and chef, bringing over 30 years of experience to our community. Throughout his career, Huver worked all across the culinary field, including senior living, corporate services, fast food, commercial restaurants and his personal favorite, serving as the catering manager for executives at Disneyland. He has a passion for food and is excited to join the Coastal Heights family.
Building Services Director
Sergio Chimal serves Coastal Heights as the Building Services director. He began his career in facilities maintenance with a hotel corporation when he lived in Hawaii. After a hurricane, moving his family to California and starting a maintenance company for high-rise buildings, Sergio decided to shift his career. He began working in assisted living and fell in love with it. He is passionate about making a difference in his residents’ lives each day by creating a a safe and clean environment for them to thrive. He joined Coastal Heights with nearly 14 years of experience in the senior living space.
Outside of work, Sergio loves reading, scuba diving, cooking and helping his kids with homework.
